Today, we're going to be discussing Mapp v. Ohio, 367 U.S. 643 (1961), in which the Supreme Court applied the Exclusionary Rule to the state courts using the 14th Amendment. This case took the logic and the reasoning of previous cases we've discussed, such as Weeks, and the incorporation doctrine, and applied it to Mapp's case to ensure that your constitutional rights applied, no matter whether it was in Ohio or California.
