500 Year Old Mosque On Top Of Mountain | Thoqsikhar Place| Gilgit Baltistan |District Ganche |Khaplu city
Thoksikhar is an old mosque situated in the mountain ranges of Karakorum. It was built around 5 hundred years ago. If you are standing in the center of Khaplu facing toward the south-east, Thoqsi Khar can be seen at the top of a hill at the altitude of 9,000 feet above sea level. The mosque has a walking distance of less than 30 Minutes from Gharbuchung, the last human settlement along Ghanche River. To assess the Mosque from Gharbuchung you need to trek since there’s no road for any vehicle to reach there. Gharbuchung village is the last point for vehicles as it is located about 3 km from the main city Khaplu.
