Crowds throng to watch traditional Hadudu game

To keep the youth free from mobile addiction, drugs and terrorism, the popular Hadudu game of rural Bengal was held in Sarishabari, Jamalpur.

On Friday afternoon, the Baghmara Oikya Parishad organized a Hadudu competition at the Baghmara High School ground in the memory of former BNP Secretary General Barrister Abdus Salam Talukder. Hundreds of men and women from far and wide enjoyed the game.

The organizing committee said that Hadudu game is organized every year to keep the youth free from drugs and terrorism and to make them attentive and interested in sports. The festive atmosphere spread throughout the area with this Hadudu game. After a long time, there was a huge crowd of locals to watch the traditional Hadudu game of rural Bengal. Hundreds of people of all ages from far and wide enjoyed this game from noon with great enthusiasm. They encouraged the players with applause. Children and teenagers trembled in the noisy field.

Sirajganj's Munsurnagar XI and Sarishabari's Adra Trader Mishtar XI participated in the final game. Munsurnagar XI team emerged victorious. Later, the chief guest of the event, District BNP President Faridul Kabir Talukder Shamim, presented the prizes to the winning teams.

ঐতিহ্যবাহী হাডুডু খেলা দেখতে উপচে পড়া ভিড়

যুবসমাজকে মোবাইলের আসক্তি, মাদক ও সন্ত্রাস থেকে মুক্ত রাখতে জামালপুরের সরিষাবাড়ীতে অনুষ্ঠিত হয়ে গেলো গ্রাম বাংলার জনপ্রিয় হাডুডু খেলা।

শুক্রবার বিকালে বাঘমারা উচ্চ বিদ্যালয় মাঠে
বিএনপির সাবেক মহাসচিব ব্যারিস্টার আব্দুস সালাম তালুকদারের স্বরণে হাডুডু প্রতিযোগীতার আয়োজন করে বাঘমারা ঐক্য পরিষদ। দূর-দূরান্ত থেকে আসা শত শত নারী -পুরুষ খেলাটি উপভোগ করেন।

আয়োজক কমিটি জানান, যুবসমাজকে মাদক, সন্ত্রাস থেকে মুক্ত রাখতে এবং ক্রীড়া চর্চার মনোযোগী ও আগ্রহী করে তুলতে প্রতি বছর আয়োজন করা হয় হাডুডু খেলা। এ হাডুডু খেলাকে নিয়ে উৎসবের আমেজ ছড়িয়ে পড়ে পুরো এলাকায়। দীর্ঘদিন পর গ্রামবাংলার ঐতিহ্যবাহী হাডুডু খেলা দেখতে স্থানীয়দের উপচে পড়া ভিড় ছিল। বিপুল উৎসাহ-উদ্দীপনার মধ্য দিয়ে দুপুর থেকেই দূর-দূরান্ত থেকে শত শত নানা বয়সী মানুষ এই খেলা উপভোগ করেন। করতালির মধ্য দিয়ে খেলোয়াড়দের উৎসাহ দেন তারা। হৈ-হুল্লোড়ে মাঠে কাঁপিয়েছেন শিশু-কিশোররা।

ফাইনাল খেলায় সিরাজগঞ্জের মুনসুরনগর একাদশ ও সরিষাবাড়ির আদ্রা ব্যবসায়ী মিষ্টার একাদশ দল অংশ নেয়। এতে মুনসুরনগর একাদশ দল বিজয়ী হন। পরে বিজয়ী দলের মধ্যে পুরস্কার তুলে দেন অনুষ্ঠানের প্রধান অতিথি জেলা বিএনপির সভাপতি ফরিদুল কবীর তালুকদার শামীম
