Stand off with a huge bull elephant in Chobe, Bostwana | We're back on the road

Описание: With past adventures across African boarders having proved less than smooth, especially the Zim crossing, this week we ask ourselves, will we make it to Crusoe's 21st country, Botswana, or will we be stuck in Zimbabwe until COVID is over!

We head north in preparation for the crossing, to Victoria falls and take another look at the falls, now in full flow, an epic sight! We prepare for our arrival in Botswana by arranging our 4X4 collection from Bushlore, and we find ourselves face to face with the largest bull elephant we have ever seen, heading right for us, we have no where to go, and the elephant won’t stop. Finally a thunder storm rolls in as we cal it a night, somewhere under the African sky.

We are the Newbys, John, Tara, and our two little boys Crusoe and Sawyer. We’re a family who are pursuing an alternative lifestyle, and after two years of full time travel we’ve taken root on an abandoned farm in Northern Portugal which we’re renovating into our dream off-grid homestead.
