Short Review: Adenoid Cystic Carcinoma (Breast)

Описание: This is a general overview of one H&E slide containing primary breast adenoid cystic carcinoma (AdCC), a rare carcinoma of the breast, with information on demographics, immunohistochemistry (IHC) and special stains, and genetic/molecular findings associated with these lesions.

CLARIFICATION: Overall, AdCC has an excellent prognosis, and can even be cured in many patients with the treatment options described. The 20% increased survival benefit mentioned in the video is with use of radiation. Even without radiation post-surgery, approximately 86% of patients will survive 10 years post-diagnosis.
