Are you stuck in your sketchbook? Today I’m talking about why it’s time to break out of your sketchbook and start making real, finished art — even if it’s uncomfortable or intimidating. I’ve always loved working in sketchbooks, but I realized they were quietly holding me back from making the kind of art I actually wanted to create.

There’s so much pressure online to have a perfect, beautiful sketchbook. But a sketchbook should be a tool for growth, not the final destination. If you're serious about improving your art, building a portfolio, or eventually selling your work, you need to start creating outside the pages.

In this video, I’m sharing how I’ve been shifting from sketchbook habits to painting regularly on panels, what helped me get started, and why making finished work has helped me grow so much more as an artist. This is what changed my mindset — and my work — for the better.
