Welcome to the third video in my full concert cover series!

This time, I’m tackling the Hold Your Fire Tour, also known as A Show of Hands, one of Rush’s most dynamic and intricate live eras. This tour presents a whole new set of challenges—not just in mastering Neil Peart’s legendary drumming, but also in handling the electronic drum elements, precise timing, and the overall feel of the performance.

Rush’s Hold Your Fire era was filled with rich textures, complex rhythms, and a more refined, progressive sound. The mix of acoustic and electronic percussion required Peart to be both technically precise and deeply musical, which makes this concert an exciting challenge to cover in full.

As with my previous videos, this is performed in one take, with no edits, using drumless backing tracks to recreate the full concert experience. The only exception being after big money where I have to change the snare, because one of the snare-drums wont't release it's snares properly. The same with before YYZ for the same reason. The goal is not just to play the songs but to capture the energy, endurance, and artistry of a Rush live performance.

You’ll notice mistakes, particularly as I experiment with getting the right percussive sounds. Originally intended as a personal exercise, this video is now part of my journey to grow as a drummer.
