Marc A. Pullen - Betrayal (mostly instrumental metal)

Описание: I started on this around January 2025, and I've just been kind of stuck on making progress with it. So it's a little incomplete, and I didn't do all the things I wanted to with it. I was going to hire a professional drummer and do a huge amount of vocals, etc, I just ran out of mojo for the project. It's 14 short-ish tracks, around 45 minutes long.

The basic story was about a generic man that followed his religion, very strictly. He lived a basic and pure life, did all the right things. When he passed away from old age, God saw how pure he was and made him one of his Angels. After thousands of years of serving, the man grew angry that he was forced into a life of chaos, war with the Devils minions, and cursed God to his face. God stripped him of his angelic wings and sent him to hell.

The man was, of course, not happy about this either, as it was infinitely worse. The Devil took a liking to the man that God deemed unworthy. Soon after the man tried the same thing to the Devil, he cursed his name. The Devil decided to teach the man a lesson that would echo throughout Hell, and would make him suffer 10,000 killings and 10,000 deaths. He was forced to relive endless killings and murders, and be both the killer and the victim.

At the end of the 10,000th episode, just as the man saw the end of his horrific torture, the Devil decided the man hadn't suffered enough, and started the whole thing over.

That's basically it. This album was meant to be a snapshot of the man's journey (definitely not 10,000 tracks).

I only did vocals for the second track, also ran out of ideas, etc. There's some really good riffs, and a bunch of average riffs in the songs. The weirdly long parts were meant to have vocals in them.

Good enough for now, I just needed to dump this album and move on to something else, or just take a break from writing stuff...
