Park is a style of skateboarding that takes place on a smooth, curving course featuring a mix of bowls, quarterpipes and other transition-style obstacles. Skateboarders generate speed using the transitions and use the vertical sections to launch into the air for tricks like 540s, flips and grinds. Judging is based on overall impression, taking into account difficulty, originality, amplitude, variety and style throughout the run.
