My second day in Portugal began on a warm morning at Cais do Sodre, along the banks of the Tagus River in Lisbon. From there, I took a unique coastal commuter line to the beach town of Cascais. Shortly after departure, I realized that the views from the train were so beautiful; I couldn't just spend the entire journey on board. Some proper railfanning would be necessary as well. After all, when else do you get to watch trains right from the beach?
