How to replace and fix a leaking coolant bypass pipe under the intake manifold on the Toyota Tacoma 4-cylinder 2.7L engine. In this video I show you how to remove the air cover and intake manifold. See part two for how to replace radiator hoses, Thermostat , and heater hoses.
Early second gen Toyota Tacoma's have a known problem with a faulty coolant bypass pipe. The part is 100% plastic and will eventually fail. At 100,000+ miles the part will start to leak and needs replacement with an all new metal version. The trick to changing this part is having to remove the air cover and intake manifold. This is part 1 of 2 on how to fix this issue.
