In this project, to eliminate lower order harmonics, DC offset, saturation, a sliding mode observer (SMO) with dual second-order generalized integrator frequency looked loop is proposed for a surface mounted permanent synchronous motor (PMSM) based electrical vehicle (EV) drive.
