Take a journey with this crusty old Hydro E-Z Pack / IH Loadstar as it lumbers it's way back half a century to mid 60's rural America; specifically Hansen, Idaho. Visiting the Magic Valley really was a time trip, complete with period cars, friendly locals (including a run-in with a regular Andy Taylor), and of course trash collection.
The Hydro E-Z Pack side loader was a pivotal development in the fascinating history of refuse collection. Those interested in learning more should direct their attention to the E-Z Pack album at Classic Refuse Trucks: http://classicrefusetrucks.com Goes without saying that the IH Loadstar it rides atop is also a classic. I'm only guessing but I understand a 345 V8 is likely the source of that lovely gasser whine emanating from under the butterfly hood. However I'm happy to be corrected.
