NSO, MoSPI releases the Index of Industrial Production (IIP) as a monthly indicator of industrial activity, compiled using a base year indexed to 100 (currently 2011–12), following UN International Recommendations and the Laspeyres index formula, comparing current production levels to those in the base year. MoSPI publishes IIP data on the 28th of every month to track momentum in mining, manufacturing, and electricity sectors.
