Sun Style Taijiquan Performance by Master Sun Jianyun

This Sun Style Taichi presentation is performed by Master Sun Jianyun, (1914-2003) in the 1959. She is the daughter of the Sun Style Taichi founder, Grand Master Sun Lutang (1860-1933). The Sun style has a stepping pattern where we see both feet following each other in motion. When the front foot moves forward the rear foot follows and when the rear foot moves back the front foot follows. This style utilizes both hands in an opening and closing pattern when turning to the right or left to connect each form of this Taichi style. It was originated from Hebei Wu Style Taichi (武氏太極) in the late 1910s. (Edited by Shifu Changrong Ph.D.)

Shifu Changrong Ph.D. is a 34th Generation Master of the Shaolin Temple, a 5th Generation Baguazhang Master, a 6th Generation Xingyiquan Master, and a 6th Generation Yang style Taichi Master. He is also a rare descendant of the legendary masters Zhao Daoxin (趙道新先師), Wu Yihui(吳翼輝先師), and Wang Xiangzhai (王薌斋先師).

To promote these original and authentic Chinese martial arts, Shifu Changrong has founded the Kungfu Meditation Center in New York City and offers private and group sessions for both children and adults.

Shifu Changrong hopes to exchange ideas, share experiences and collaborate with friends from all circles of society including, social groups, academic institutions, and families as well.
