Delhi Waterlogging Alert: Parvesh Verma’s Strong Warning to Contractors Before Monsoon

Описание: Delhi is preparing for the upcoming monsoon season, and the Public Works Department (PWD) has started a major inspection drive across the city.

PWD Minister Parvesh Verma said that senior officers and chief engineers are checking roads and drainage systems before the rains arrive.

He added that inspections are being carried out in all constituencies to ensure proper maintenance of roads and drains.

According to him, if any work is found unsatisfactory, payments to contractors will be stopped and strict action will be taken against responsible engineers.

The government aims to prevent waterlogging and improve drainage systems to avoid problems for citizens during the rainy season.
