I hiked Iceland's most famous trails | Laugavegur and Fimmvörðuháls

Описание: Iceland's Laugavegur and Fimmvörðuháls trail are often described as the most impressive multi-day hikes in the country. Volcanoes, black sand deserts, countless waterfalls and multi-coloured mountains - this journey crosses some of Iceland's most dramatic landscapes

I filmed this trek while hiking the complete route and camping along the trail, carrying all my hiking gear in addition to camera equipment to capture the landscapes, weather, and scale of the Icelandic Highlands.

The Laugavegur starts in Landmannalaugur climbing up into the obsidian wilds before crossing fumaroles, alien landscapes, expansive river valleys, before finishing in the green forests of Thorsmork. The end of the Laugavegur continues over the Fimmvörðuháls passing between two glaciers via volcanic planes before finishing at Skogafoss on Iceland's south coast
