I show you how I have made a small switch act as the range split, for the gear shift in ETS2. This then works like a real truck shifter, with the range split mounted to the gear lever, so you can shift to all gears without taking you hand off the gear lever.
All you need is a solder kit, a switch, wire, and an old USB mouse.
A fairly simple project if you know how to solder :)
