Talk by Xintong Li at the online workshop "2D Materials for Biomedical Applications".
Xintong Li graduated as a BS in July 2016 from the department of Physics, Peking University in Beijing, China. He joined the ECE department of UTA as a PhD student, co-advised by Prof. Jean Anne Incorvia and Prof. Deji Akinwande. In his talk, Xintong Li demonstrated the properties, exfoliation, and characterization of Transition Metal Dichalcogenides.
This two-day workshop bridged Nanotechnologies and Biomedicine, by exploring the large library of 2D materials available today as well as its potential applications in health and medicine. Participants and speakers discussed the different types of 2D materials and their multiple functions, shared techniques on how to produce and grow these materials and had conversations about their potential in the medical field.
