RV fridge ventilation fan installation DIY

Описание: RV refrigerators generate a lot of heat in order to cool our food. Because RV manufacturers are now putting RV refrigerators in slide outs the fridges have to work harder to get rid of that heat. Heat doesn’t “flow as well sideways!! The ventilation grilles are designed to allow some airflow while keeping water out of the slide area. This restricts airflow. When RV refrigerators were in interior walls the ventilation grille was in the roof while the intake vent was in the floor. This allowed for much better airflow.
During the summer months getting rid of that heat becomes even more important. Some RV manufacturers have added small fans to help with cooling but sadly they tend to be too few and too small. Adding a grille fan will push more air out through the ventilation grille increasing air flow and reducing heat inside the slide out.
This video shows the installation of two 5.5” 12 volt thermostatically controlled grille vent fans. I then go through the set up of the UueeGo fan controller.
