In the mid 1980's, we were making a public access TV show once a month. Peter Townend asked me "Where's Bruce Brown these days?"
So I found him and drove up to his ranch and taped an interview with my Hi-8 camera for this segment. We just sat on the porch and talked for a few hours. Can you tell that we enjoy each other?
Bruce had done the photographs on our first two Challengers Band album cover "Surfbeat" and "Lloyd Thaxton Goes Surfing with The Challengers" .
"Discovered this absolute gem in WAVE WATCH #90.. Great interview- ULTRA RARE (just like everything on WAVE WATCH)...
Finishes with Bruce talking about how he doesn't want to work or make any more films, he says "I just want to surf.. I want to watch WAVE WATCH!" Laughs his ass off and it cuts to a bikini girl on the beach with WAVE WATCH written on her in sunblock. Incredible." Daniel J Foote
