Beijing moved on Tuesday (25/6) to calm a damaging row with Bonn over human rights, after Germany's parliament passed an all-party motion condemning Chinese policies in Tibet. China's Foreign Ministry spokesman Cui Tiankai told a media briefing that the June 20 resolution on Tibet was the work of a few saboteurs that should not affect mainstream relations.

throughout: "I believe all of you are very clear about the causes of the recent developments as far as Sino-German relations are concerned. On June the 20th, in total disregard of repeated representations from the Chinese side, the German Bundestag adopted an anti-China resolution, about Tibetan issues and this is an act that violates the norms governing international law and interfered in China's internal laws. Therefore, all these recent developments which bring harm to Sino-German relations, are the soul making of minorities, a few people in Germany and even with Germany they were criticised for such actions."
