DIY plastic free Water filter. low cost.

Описание: This filter is not guaranteed to remove viruses or bacteria.
It is a low cost #water_filter with the aim of cutting out plastic entirely from a basic counter top supermarket filter.
My solution is an amateur attempt to add a second filtration to my own WELL-water supply, which is already tested as food safe, but which I see is regularly threatened by LOCAL microplastics road run-off and neighbouring agricultural monoculture chemicals.

The activated charcoal needs regular replacement according to how contaminated your water might be and the pots, seal, lid and stones need scrubbing out regularly too.

recycled glass lemonade dispenser with tap. €16 (from local supermarket Leclerc France)
12 cm & 15 cm terracotta flower pots [NO HEAVY METAL CONTENT] €4.50
15 cm terracotta pot tray to use as a lid €1.50
100grams activated charcoal from a 1kg supply @10€ = 1€
a 10cm rubber seal from a mason jar 0.5€

two circles of 100% cotton towel
handful of washed boiled garden pebbles
