Описание: "Hippy Turning 50" is Paul Nourigat's cover of the song written and recorded by Tom Patty 20 years ago, as he was profiled for CNN's "Life After Work" series. The retired Chiat/Day ad-agency executive from Dana Point California was living the seemingly perfect life, enjoying a different pace of life that during his working years. In 2020, Paul and Tom met through a mutual friend's introduction while strumming guitars in the San Juan Islands, and Tom shared the song and story around Hippy Turning 50. A year later, with Tom's encouragement, Paul recorded his version of the song for his new EP, "Shake Stuff Up", which is completely about enjoying life to its fullest and pursuing one's dreams. Tom is still enjoying the perfect life, and although his junior, Paul Nourigat is riding the same wave.

This song joins 3 other songs and 2 music videos on "Shake Stuff Up", which is dedicated to the theme of making the most of life, in spite of the challenges that surround us. The EP follows Nourigat’s Covid-inspired album “Open Up My Days”, released just 5 months earlier, as the singer-songwriter celebrates 2021 as his “Debut At 62”.
