Mohammad bin Salman al-Saoed's yacht Serene was delivered by the Italian shipyard Fincantieri for Russian vodka tycoon Yuri Shefler for $330m in 2011. In the summer of 2014, Gates leased the yacht for US$5 million per week and while vacationing in the south of France in 2015, Prince Mohammed bin Salman of Saudi Arabia bought the vessel for approximately 500 million euros.
