Hamsterley red route, going as a first timer I made the initial mistake of following the full red which means going up fire road upon fire road, good if you want a workout, not good if youre just looking for downhill and k lime, I'd recommend going on trail forks to find the start of Kline or buy a ticket for descend bike park, have a play there and head into the forest from there.. For les miles park at Grove car park and head up over the bridge you crossed up and, rough dirt track on your right with red signposted..... There was a friendly guy that once I'd done the long uphill over to moorland kind of explained how I could've missed out that part so worth asking local folk. Klines epic fun, wanted to go again to get air... So is special k etc, lots of off piste, this is a casual cross country ride with my 3 legged collie....
