Scientists at La Trobe University have discovered that the molecule FN14 triggers the debilitating disease Cachexia.
Cachexia results in rapid weight loss and muscle wastage in people with cancer. It is present in 80 per cent of all people diagnosed with cancer and surprisingly is the cause of 30 per cent of all cancer-related deaths.

Dr Johnson explains how her team is now working on a treatment and its potential for saving lives in the future.
