West Yorkshire fire service release a statement on the moorland fire in silsden.

Our #TeamWYFRS firefighters continue to tackle a significant moorland fire near Silsden after we were called at 3.19pm yesterday, Monday 14th July.

At the height of the incident, 12 fire engines were in attendance. Firefighters used large jets and Argo Cats to tackle the blaze across challenging terrain and remained at the scene overnight with a walking watch.

As of 12 noon today, Tuesday 15th July, 12 fire engines remain in attendance, with crews continuing to work hard to bring the incident under control.
