As an old-school 90s Madden on Sega Genesis/Mega-Drive & 2K on PlayStation 2 fan, I bought this as soon as I saw it - and I never really impulse-buy.

➡ THOUGHTS:
With superb player models & animations, you can finally play a FULL game and watch your defence & kick/punt returns battle for you as well! You can also control your WRs & RBs after the catch/toss via the sticks to mixed success.
The potential here is HUGE, but there’s ONE pretty glaring issue that needs to be addressed: MVP Football’s direct rival - 2MD: VR Football, allows you to move around the pocket/field, to avoid tacklers and to also gain rushing yards. The irony here, is considering that Patrick Mahomes is one of the most dynamic and mobile quarterbacks in the NFL today, you yourself as a player in the Mahomes Experience, cannot move from your fixed position at all with the thumb sticks - you have physically move within your own play space. That’s cool, if you have acres of room, but seeing as many(me included) have very limited space or would prefer to play seated(!), in some ways, this is more the Tom Brady Experience, than Mahomes!
All jokes aside, if the devs can at least fix this lack of free locomotion issue, and perhaps even lean more towards the simulation side(and maybe even some linebacker/free safety defensive play?), then it might make me totally forget about 2MD.

➡ VERDICT: So the obvious question is: Which VR football game is the best - 2MD or MVP? Well, overall, I prefer MVP as a full game of football, with better player models and animations, whilst 2MD has player locomotion and slightly better throwing mechanics. If you’re a casual football player, then you might prefer 2MD as the games are shorter and more bite-size in nature.
Those wanting ‘Madden VR’ would be better served with MVP, as long as they can add free locomotion and POV for other ball-carriers. Basically, get both games!
