Tellevik Kai (quay) in the northern part of Åsane is a cultural monument that bears witness to the journeys in Nordhordland in the past. The quay lies at the boundary between Tellevik and Ytre Hordvik and was from an old boathouse site for use on the two farms. The Trondheim postal route from Bergen went through Åsane to Tellevik quay, where the mail sacks were transferred to a boat and taken across the fjord. This postal route started in the 1780s.
