1975 সালে বঙ্গবন্ধু শেখ মুজিবুর রহমানকে হত্যার সঙ্গে সরাসরি জড়িত ছিলো বরখাস্ত হওয়া ক্যাপ্টেন আব্দুল মজিদ। কিন্তিু তিনি পলাতক থাকায় সেই রায় কার্যকর হয়নি। সম্প্রতি তিনি বাংলাদেশে আসলে পুলিশ তাকে গ্রেফতার করে। এবং সেই রায় কার্যকর করা হয়।
