State Police Conference 2026 Held at Chintan Bhawan, Gangtok
Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang chaired the State Police Conference 2026, where key outcomes of the 60th DGP–IGP Conference held in Raipur in November 2025 were reviewed.
The meeting examined 123 national recommendations focusing on technology integration, internal security, women’s safety, forensic strengthening and institutional reforms. Discussions also covered the 2025 Action Taken Report and the 2026 implementation roadmap with structured quarterly monitoring.
Senior officials from the State administration, Police leadership and the Department of Prosecution participated in the deliberations. Investigation–prosecution coordination, rotation policy, cybercrime preparedness, border vigilance and welfare measures for police personnel were among the major focus areas.
Three SHOs and three Investigating Officers were felicitated for outstanding performance. Sikkim Police was also acknowledged for receiving the President’s Police Colours.
