In response to the pressing challenges that European citizens are facing, we, the ‪@FESonline‬, have launched our Twelve Missions for a Progressive Europe, which present forward-looking and practical steps to:

☑️ Improve the daily lives of European citizens.
☑️ Strengthen the ability of the European Union to act decisively internally and in the global context.

In this video, we dive into how to make Europe more resilient to external threats and explore ways to action the changes necessary — from improving the cooperation of EU defence systems to reducing the EU's dependence on raw materials from external sources.

The video also highlights the importance of ensuring that the 27 EU Member States abide by the rule of law, in a bid to guarantee the protection of the fundamental rights of every single European citizen.

All of this is explained by Martin Schulz, President of the ‪@FESonline‬, Raluca Csernatoni, PhD, Research Fellow at Carnegie Europe, Jakub Jaraczewski, Research Coordinator at Democracy Reporting International and Sven Biscop, Director of the Europe in the World Programme at EGMONT - Royal Institute for International Relations and Professor at Ghent University.
