Enjoy the views of the beautiful Wellington harbour as well as the fresh sea breeze along the waterfront. It’s also nice to take a stroll through the city and explore its many cafés, restaurants, and vibrant streets.
You can take the historic Wellington Cable Car up to the Botanic Garden for stunning views of the harbour, or visit Te Papa, New Zealand’s famous national museum. If you time it right, you might even catch a rugby match at Sky Stadium.
If you’re travelling from Rotorua to Wellington by bus, you’ll also pass by the beautiful Lake Taupo along the way, with some wonderful scenery during the journey.
Overall, Wellington is a very charming city with a relaxed atmosphere and a strong creative vibe.
