Описание: Afghan Restaurant on Spring Bank opened last August and is run by Tawfiq and his wife, family and close friends.

The idea came about spontaneously – Tawfiq saw an opportunity, gave the place a fresh new look, and opened the first Afghan restaurant in Hull.

They’ve already been nominated for the best restaurant category in the 2025 Business Awards, so we had high expectations - and they definitely met them.

We tried a bit of almost everything - from their warming chicken and lentil soup to a huge Afghan mixed platter with lamb karahi, fish, mantu dumplings, chapli kebab and qabli palau with tender lamb shank.

On the side, we had daal, kofta, bamieh, kidney beans, salad and fresh naan. We finished off with Ferni for dessert and a mix of traditional drinks like mango lassi, Afghan tea and doogh.

Everything here is freshly made each day, and they’re passionate about supporting local, so they get all the ingredients they can from local suppliers. On top of that, they’re proud sponsors of local football club Longhill Ravens Under 9 and the Afghan Cricket Club too!

They’ve got a private party room at the back if you're planning a group meal.
