আগামী ৫ আগস্ট চলমানের লকডাউনের মেয়াদ শেষ হতে যাচ্ছে। তবে স্বাস্থ্য অধিদপ্তরের সুপারিশের পরিপ্রেক্ষিতে কিছু কিছু ক্ষেত্রে বিধিনিষেধ শিথিলের শর্তে লকডাউনের মেয়াদ আরেক দফা বাড়ানো হচ্ছে বলে জানা গেছে।
একটি সরকারি সূত্রে জানা গেছে, আসছে মঙ্গলবার আন্তঃমন্ত্রণালয় সভায় তা চূড়ান্ত হবে। বেলা ১১টায় মুক্তিযুদ্ধ বিষয়ক মন্ত্রী আ ক ম মোজাম্মেল হকের সভাপতিত্বে অনলাইনে এ সভা অনুষ্ঠিত হবে।
সূত্রে জানা গেছে, ওই সভায় অংশ নেবেন ১২ জন মন্ত্রী-প্রতিমন্ত্রী, ১৬ জন সচিব, সশস্ত্র বাহিনী বিভাগের প্রিন্সিপাল স্টাফ অফিসার, পুলিশ মহাপরিদর্শক, বিভিন্ন গোয়েন্দা সংস্থার শীর্ষ কর্মকর্তা, স্বাস্থ্য অধিদপ্তরের মহাপরিচালক, আইইডিসিআর পরিচালকসহ সংশ্লিষ্টরা।
মন্ত্রিপরিষদ বিভাগ থেকে এ সংক্রান্ত চিঠি সোমবার সংশ্লিষ্টদের কাছে পাঠানো হয়েছে।
মন্ত্রিপরিষদ বিভাগের একটি নির্ভরযোগ্য সূত্র ইঙ্গিত দিয়েছে, বৈঠক থেকে কিছু শর্ত শিথিল করে আরেক দফা বিধিনিষেধ বাড়ানো হতে পারে। এর মেয়াদ হতে পারে আরও সাত দিন। প্রধানমন্ত্রীর অনুমোদন পেলে পরবর্তীতে প্রজ্ঞাপন জারি করা হবে।
জনপ্রশাসন মন্ত্রণালয় সূত্র জানিয়েছে, ৫ আগস্টের পর আরও সাত দিনের জন্য লকডাউনের মেয়াদ বাড়লে সেক্ষেত্রে সরকারি-বেসরকারি অফিস সীমিত পরিসরে খুলে দেওয়া হতে পারে। সীমিত পরিসরে চালু করা হতে পারে গণপরিবহণ।
এর আগে শনিবার (৩১ জুলাই) ইউএনবিকে জনপ্রশাসন প্রতিমন্ত্রী ফরহাদ হোসেন জানিয়েছেন, আগামী ৫ আগস্টের পর লকডাউনের মেয়াদ বাড়ানো হবে কিনা তা পরিস্থিতি অনুযায়ী সিদ্ধান্ত নেয়া হবে। তিনি বলেন, এখনো প্রধানমন্ত্রীর কাছে থেকে নির্দেশনা পাইনি। লকডাউন নিয়ে পরিস্থিতি অনুযায়ী সিদ্ধান্ত নেব আমরা।
প্রতিমন্ত্রী বলেন, প্রধানমন্ত্রী হয়ত ৩ অথবা ৪ আগস্টে নির্দেশনা দিতে পারেন। প্রধানমন্ত্রী সিদ্ধান্ত জানালে, আমরা আগামী ৩ আগস্ট সিদ্ধান্ত জানানোর চেষ্টা করবো, ওইদিন না পারলে ৪ আগস্ট জানিয়ে দেব।
উল্লেখ্য, করোনাভাইরাসের সংক্রমণ প্রতিরোধে চলমান লকডাউন আরও ১০ দিন বাড়ানোর সুপারিশ করে স্বাস্থ্য অধিদপ্তর।
