Sources indicate that the Shinde faction has secured the necessary two-thirds majority to engineer a defection among the party's Members of Parliament—specifically, preparations are complete to break away seven out of the nine MPs belonging to the Uddhav faction, pending a green signal from the central leadership. Sources even claim that the split in Uddhav's party could occur before Shiv Sena's Foundation Day on June 19, or that 'Operation Tiger' will be concluded prior to the Monsoon Session of Parliament. Upon getting wind of this, Sanjay Raut—a close aide of Uddhav—has arrived in Delhi, although he is citing official business as the reason for his visit.
