Video transcoding at the edge with AWS Snowcone

Описание: In this video we demonstrate the edge computing, edge storage, and data transfer capabilities of AWS Snowcone by setting up a proof-of-concept solution to perform video transcoding in a remote location, away from the data center. This is done by preparing the AWS Snowcone in advance, then transferring video data to the device in the field using AWS Snowcone's built-in NFS server. Next, we launch an Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2) instance on the device to perform video transcoding. To further demonstrate the compute capabilities of AWS Snowcone, we start a web server on the EC2 instance, and use that to browse the transcoded video files. Finally, we pack up the Snowcone and ship it back to AWS, where the data is loaded into Amazon S3.
