Episode 4: Interview Tips to Help you Succeed in the Room

Описание: In my 14+ years of working and interviewing, I've been blessed with the opportunity to be moved forward to the next step 90%+ of the time. That said, I am a sample size of one so please take the recommendations with a grain of salt! Use what's best for you, try out the tips, and disregard what doesn't serve you. There are many aspects to what goes into an interview, and interviewing is a skill, so I encourage you to try these tips out and use what works best for YOU.

In summary, my tips are:
1) Be your best and show your best when you walk in
2) For scenario-based questions, use the STARR method to stay concise and focused (Situation, Task, Action, Results, Reflection)
3) For any "what are your weaknesses?" type of questions -- use this as an opportunity to bring up potential objections and address them proactively
4) When asked "what questions do you have for me?" at the end -- ALWAYS have questions to ask! I give some examples for types of questions you can ask that are insightful and will give you with unique answers every time.
5) Remember that you're interviewing the company too! Be intentional with asking about their culture, the company, and what it means to succeed.

And of course, after the interview -- don't forget to send a thank you note!
