Voters in Cleveland Heights will officially decide on Sept. 9 whether or not to remove embattled Cleveland Heights Mayor Kahlil Seren from office.
City Council voted on Monday to put the recall question against Seren on the September ballot, scheduling it for the same day as the planned 2025 mayoral primary. Lawmakers were required by law to set a date for the recall after organizers gathered enough verified signatures from registered voters in order to force the election.
Seren, who attended Monday's Council meeting and was in the room when the vote took place, has been plagued by a number of controversies in recent months.
