What's it like the first time you see a shark while diving? As divers we are not normally prey so for most people it's a fun, exciting and memorable experience that sticks in their minds forever.

Today (21st Dec) I captured my daughter Oceana (14) seeing her first shark and I got a great 1 shot take about 1 min that captures the excitement for her - and for me (mostly its me making the whooping noises) as I've been hoping to take her to see a Grey Nurse but we hadn't expected it in open water on this dive.

(about 20 years ago I was also lucky to catch her mum's first shark sighting on video camera too while diving in Tubutaha - I'll have to edit these into a video).
