This is a ride on the Severn Valley Railway, a highly picturesque preserved railway running through the Worcestershire and Shropshire countryside in central-western England. Our train is composed of six Collett GWR coaches (built between 1932 and 1938) with a GWR Nondescript Saloon and BR Mk1 coach. We ride in the Saloon, which dates from 1912. The locomotive is a British Railways Class 52 - D1015 'Western Champion', which was built in 1963 and withdrawn from BR mainline service in 1976.
Filmed in the early afternoon on May 19th, 2022 - during the Severn Valley Railway's Spring Diesel Gala.
