VANGUARD Target Retirement Funds - The BIG PROBLEM With Them!

Описание: Let's take a look at the Vanguard Target Retirement Funds. And more specifically, why I have a problem with them.

But they have a range of funds called the Target Retirement Funds and in today’s video I want to explain why I don’t like them.

“When do you want to retire? Whatever your target date, we have a fund for you.” That’s the strap line from their website.

There are currently 11 different Target Retirement Funds each one has a year in the title starting at the target retirement 2015 fund and then in 5 year intervals all the way upto the 2065 target retirement fund.

The year is the year you want to retire.

If you are someone who is working towards FIRE (financial independence retire early) then I think these funds really are to be avoided.

The problem is, if you’re a dreamer like me and have every intention of retiring earlier than the norm, these target retirement funds just aren’t the answer as far as I’m concerned.
