Capturing Banger Racing on Film with the Bessa R2

Описание: In this video, I will show you how I photographed banger racing at Warton Stock Car Racing Club with a Bessa R2, TTArtisan 50mm 1.25 lens and Ilford Delta 400 film. Banger racing is a form of motorsport where old or scrap cars race on a dirt track and often crash into each other. It is a thrilling and chaotic spectacle that offers many opportunities for capturing dynamic and dramatic images.

I used a Bessa R2, which is a 35mm rangefinder camera made by Voigtländer. It has a metal body, a bright viewfinder, and a Leica M mount that can accept a wide range of lenses. I paired it with a TTArtisan 50mm 1.25 lens, which is a new lens from a Chinese brand that produces high-quality and affordable lenses for Leica cameras. It is a fast and sharp lens that gives a beautiful bokeh and contrast. I chose Ilford Delta 400 film, which is a black and white film that has a fine grain, a wide tonal range, and a high sharpness. It also performs well in low light and can be pushed or pulled easily.

I went to Warton Stock Car Racing Club, which is a venue in Lancashire, England that hosts various types of racing events, including banger racing.
