⚙️ Industrial Motion Synchronization in Action
In our Syntex Systems Motion Control Lab we continuously evaluate different industrial automation platforms and machine architectures.
This demonstration shows a Master / Slave motion synchronization system implemented using Berghof Automation platforms running CODESYS.
The system is built using:
• Berghof DC-Nimis MC-Pi Plus industrial controller
• Berghof DC-Prime industrial Panel PC
• EtherCAT servo drives and motors
This setup demonstrates several motion control capabilities used in real industrial machines:
✔ Master / Slave synchronization
✔ Offset correction and phase alignment
✔ Constant velocity coordination
✔ Real-time motion state monitoring
✔ Error detection and recovery
An important aspect of this architecture is the open automation approach.
In this demonstration we are using Beckhoff AX5000 servo drives as third-party hardware, showing how Berghof platforms can integrate seamlessly with different motion components over EtherCAT.
This flexibility allows machine builders and system integrators to combine controllers, drives, and devices from different manufacturers while maintaining a consistent programming architecture.
Berghof platforms provide a powerful and flexible CODESYS-based automation environment, enabling scalable machine architectures and advanced motion control applications.
