Doing a speed test with my HPI Trophy Truggy 2.6 (.28) nitro rc car.
Stock car with 15T pinion and HPI R5 "Cold" glow plug.
Using 20% nitro.
00:00 Intro
00:40 Warming up, high speed needle to ritch. About 51kmh = 32mph
01:32 Leaning out and about 62kmh = 39mph
02:50 First real speed test, car is ok tuned I believe. About 64.5kmh = 40mph
06:35 Lean out some more. About 70kmh = 43.5mph in next runs, max today
08:20 Temperature about 130C or 266F, a bit hot.
09:55 Some acceleration tests
12:30 Temperature about 140C or 284F, that's to hot so ritch out some
14:52 Engine stops so do a restart quick with the HPI RotoStart 2
Very nice! Max speed about 70kmh or 43.5mph is fast enough for me.
The engine got a bit hot, the weather was about 22C or 72F, that is ok outdoor temperature. So I will run it a bit more ritch on high speed needle and maybe also low speed needle. Time will tell.
