LIC is SuperHero of PSU Banks | PSU Bank privatisation

Описание: Do you know that LIC is SuperHero for our Public Sector Banks.
In 2015 and 2016 there were a lot of Banks saved by saved by LIC which had shortage of capital and one of those banks was IDBI Bank.

By the way LIC did not do this investing by choice but being a Government owned business they had to do it and today LIC is Promoter of IDBI Bank with 49% shareholding in it.

But the Government is planning to go with privatisation of IDBI Bank because Government and LIC combined have 94% shareholding in IDBI Bank.

This is not the first attempt by the Government to do privatisation but it seems that BPCL plan is now on hold and LIC got listed on discount.

And I personally think that the Government's job is to provide an economy for business to grow, not start doing business and make money hence doing privatisation is the correct step.
