An architect has many choices and tradeoffs to evaluate when designing a DC-MHS subsystem. DC-MHS interfaces include many side band signals, and the architecture implementation possibilities of a simple peripheral can be vast. This presentation provides guidance to the designer on sideband usage criteria to reduce system complexity where possible. Uses of FLEX_IO, I2C and PESTI will be compared and contrasted.
