CRISP GRAIL LeCoultre Memovox ‘Wrist Alarm’ cal 489/1 - SUPERB WHITE SILVERED DIAL - all original - 1950
This is an incredibly gorgeous stunner in fantastic all original condition! This is a true collector’s piece for a number of reasons; it is in phenomenal condition, looks amazing, and is one of the first Memovoxes that came to market, since this icon was first sold in 1950. The original white and silvered dial is in phenomenal condition, with light patina. It pops insanely beautifully! The silvered ribbon, the gold and the blue accents on the dial, the blued seconds hand, just so many gorgeous elements brought together in a very tasteful way. Classy and beautiful.
The 10k gold filled case is in excellent condition as well, with only very light signs of use. Both crowns are original unsigned. The watch is powered by a manual wind cal 489/1 from 1950. Service history unknown, but it works perfectly and keeps great time. The alarm works perfectly too. It measures 32mm diameter without crown, and 37mm from lug to lug. It comes on a new leather strap.
