1st Of August 2021 marked the date these off-piste trails in Mabie forest began to be felled down to remove larch trees infected with the "Phytophthora ramorum" tree disease as well as some unaffected by the tree disease in an effort to stop the spread. I visited and managed to get all of these trails in 4K 25fps to document them before they are destroyed.
But, we do have hope as Forestry & Land Scotland have requested that the contractors minimize the damage to the trails during this operation, so we still have a little bit of hope for these trails.
